Sustainable environment through eco-friendly lifestyle

Dr. L.H. Manjunath, Executive Director of the Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly lifestyles to preserve the natural geological balance. He spoke at the inaugural session of a two-day national seminar on ‘Sustainability of Natural Geological Structures: Community Steps’ organized by the Social Work and Research Department at the SDM Postgraduate Center, in collaboration with Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

SDM Postgraduate Center Dean, Dr. Vishwanath P., presided over the event and highlighted the joint efforts of governmental and non-governmental organizations in sustaining natural geological structures. He emphasized the meaningfulness of such efforts with the active participation of young minds and the planting of awareness for future generations.

Dr. R. Siddappa Setti, Associate Professor at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment in Bangalore, was also present at the event. Dr. Ravishankar K.R., Head of the Social Work and Research Department, welcomed the attendees, while Assistant Professor Dr. Dhaneshwari offered the vote of thanks.
