The Department of PG Studies and Research in Chemistry under the auspices of CONCHEM organised a Student- Industry interaction on 12 December 2025. The resource persons were Dr. Vasudeva P K, Director, Quadrivalent Labs Pvt. Ltd., NITK, Surathkal, Dr. Umesha K General Manager, R&D, Quadrivalent Labs Pvt. Ltd., NITK, Surathkal, Dr. Lingappa B General Manager, BD, Quadrivalent Labs Pvt. Ltd., NITK, Surathkal. The main objective of this event was to expose students to industry expectations, and enhance students’ employability skills. The resource persons briefly mentioned the current industry trends and future prospects in the industry, key skills and qualities the industry looks for in candidates. They also mentioned emerging opportunities and potential job roles or areas with growth potential and also shared career advice for students. The resource persons highlighted the importance of communication skills, adaptability, and continuous learning in the industry. A total of 118 students from I MSc and II MSc Chemistry and Organic Chemistry participated in this event.
