Ujire, Oct. 28 — As part of their departmental extension activity, the final-year students of the B.Voc Department in Retail and Supply Chain Management at SDM College, Ujire, visited Seon Ashram at Gandibagilu, Belthangady Taluk, on Monday.
A group of 44 students interacted with around 395 residents of the ashram, including orphans, the physically challenged, and individuals with mental illnesses. Demonstrating social responsibility and compassion, the students donated medical kits, sweets, and fruits worth ₹13,625 to the residents.
Assistant Professors Praveena D. and Madhuri Gowda accompanied and guided the students during the visit.
The initiative aimed to instill a sense of empathy and community service among students while providing them with an opportunity to engage in meaningful social outreach.
