State-of-the-art S.D.M. multimedia video conference room was inaugurated by former Vice Chancellor of Mysore University Prof. S. R. Niranjanit on September 28. The President SDM educational institutions and Rajya Sabha member Dr.D. Veendra Heggade launched this facility by clicking on the video conference link. Manya, Heggade’s granddaughter, wished her well through video from Bangalore. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Heggade said that, system like video conference plays a very important role in modern education system, through this, the organization has brought more resource persons closer to the students.
Pooran Varma, Chief Executive Officer of IT and Hostel Administration Department of SDM Educational Institutions said, “All types of video related conferences can be conducted through the Multimedia Studio video conferencing system an in addition, this centre has the facility to conduct online and hybrid mode seminars, live e-lectures, news and interview broadcasts through YouTube, Facebook. This conference room is fully air-conditioned and has sound-proof, echo-proof facilities,” he explained.
