Students of SDM College have excelled at the ‘Aloysian Fest’ held on October 8 at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, securing overall championships in three categories.
The festival featured various competitions across five disciplines, and SDM College triumphed in ‘Quant’ (Physical Science), ‘Synapse’ (Biological Science), and ‘Kalatrividha’ (Cultural) categories, earning a total prize money of ₹15,000, with ₹5,000 awarded for each championship. In the ‘Synapse’ category, Anupam and Rahul won first place in the documentary and scientific photography competitions, respectively. Meghashree secured second place in the Chemistry Lab event.
In the ‘Quant’ category, Neha won the stress interview competition, while Ajaykrishna and Roshan excelled in the quiz event. Tithiksha topped the collage-making contest, and Sumukh and Harshit achieved first place in the math event. Girish Krishna and Abdul Azeez received second place in the chemistry event. In the ‘Kalatrividha’ category, Ananya Ranjani secured first place in the dance competition, and Shriganesha and Siddharth achieved first place in the Commerce Department’s Trade Master competition. Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of SDM College, congratulated the achievers for their remarkable performances.
