B.Voc departments in Digital Media & Film Making, Retail & Supply Chain Management and Software & App Development inaugurated three students’ associations on 5th of February 2022. The Commissioner of Mangaluru Police, Mr. Shashi Kumar inaugurated the associations and delivered the keynote address.
“Students from extremely modest backgrounds have achieved incredible things in the country. Students blessed with exceptional opportunities like these associations and other platforms must hence always remain inspired and make the most of them. When students from rural areas achieve great things, the country as a whole progresses”, opined Shashi Kumar in his inaugural address.
Three associations titled ‘Lumos’ by Digital Media & Film Making, ‘Vishishta’ by Retail & Supply Chain Management and ‘Ideal Bits’ by Software & App Development were inaugurated and four officer bearers each from every association were administered the oath at the ceremony.
Executive Officer of SDME Society, Mr. MY Harish was the Chief Guest of the event and advised students to adhere to the oath and avail maximum benefits of the opportunities that lie ahead. Dr. Satheeshchandra S, former Principal of SDM College Ujire presided over the event. Dr. Udayachandra P, current Principal of SDM College, Dr. Vishwanatha P, Dean of PG Studies and Suveer Jain, course coordinator of SDM B.Voc were present alongside Dr. Bhaskar Hegde, Dr. Rakesh TS and Shailesh Kumar, HODs of three B.Voc departments.
