SDM College celebrated ‘Achiever’s Day at Yoga Hall of SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire, on Wednesday, 10 August 2022. Dr D Veerendra Heggade, President of SDM E-Society, presided over the function. Speaking on occasion, he opened that the students with honesty as the best policy must also practice commonsense in relevant situations. He felt that the ships were safe in harbour, but that was not for which it was built. Similarly, the students must explore society’s potential and work hard to reach their goals.
Sri Harish Poonja, MLA, Belthangady Taluk, as a chief guest, recollected the contributions of Dr B Yashovarma to the overall development of society and Education in particular in Ujire.
One of our proud Alumni, Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist Sri Gururaj Poojari, was felicitated during the occasion. He opined that the college had given him every facility to nurture his talent in the field of sports.
Sri D Harshenra Kumar and Dr S Satheeshchandra, Secretaries of SDM Educational Society Ujire, handed over the certificates and medals to the achievers.
Dr P N Udayachandra, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering. Dr A Jayakumar Shetty, Vice Principal of the college, read the Annual Report. Dr Shalip Kumari, Dean, Faculty of Arts, proposed a vote of thanks, and B A Kumara Hegde Mastered the Ceremony.
