A programme on “Orientation for Youth” was organized by Department PG Studies In Social Work, SDM College ,Ujire in association with Ministry of Youth Affairs And Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan, Mangalore, Youth Empowernment Sports Department, Yuva Spandana Mangalore, Pragathi Mahila Mandala, Ujire on 31-01-2022 at 10.30AM at Seminar Hall-1,SDM PG Centre, Ujire.
Ms Shruthi and team, students of I MSW invoked the blessings of god. Mr.Shantappa, District coordinator of Yuva Spandana, Mangalore welcomed the gathering. Mr.Raghuveer Sootar Pete, District Superintendent of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan, Mangalore, gave an introductory note on the programme
The programme was inaugurated by Mr Pratap Simha Nayak, MLC, Vidhana Parishad, Governament of Karnataka by lighting the lamp followed by inaugural address. Sir addressed on ‘atma nirbhara bharat’ and overview of India in changing environment. He added, confidence is the key for everything where in a student has to use every single opportunity to reach success. Success is not luck but hard work is the true way for success.

Resource Person Mrs Usha V Nayak, Counsellor of Amulya Financial Literacy Centre, Belthangady enlightened youth on different projects of government of India and also elaborated on the significance about various schemes viz., Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Pradhana Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Pradhana Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. The programme marked its conclusion with vote of thanks by Mrs.Gayatri, Member of Women’s Club, Ujire.
