The Post Graduate Centre of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College (Autonomous), Ujire, organized the Onappulari Celebration on 29 August 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the SDM PG Centre. The programme was organized to provide students and faculty members with an opportunity for interaction, recreation, and collective participation in a vibrant campus activity. The celebration included games and recreational activities for both faculty members and students, which encouraged active participation, teamwork, coordination, and informal interaction among the participants. A Pookolum competition was also conducted, in which students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity, planning, teamwork, and aesthetic presentation through floral arrangements. The combination of recreational games and the Pookolum competition created an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere and provided opportunities for students and faculty to interact beyond the academic setting. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Vishwanatha P, Principal, and Dr Sowmya B. P, Dean, PG Studies, with the coordination of Dr.Dhaneshwari, Co-ordinator, Extra-Curricular Committee; Dr Suresh Babu, Co-ordinator, Student Welfare Committee; and Mr. Pavan Kumar, Student Co-ordinator. The active participation of students and faculty members and the coordinated efforts of the organising team contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
