PG Department of Chemistry under CONCHEM observed World Environment Day and organized inter-departmental competition – AVANI 2k22 on behalf of it on 11/06/2022. Program was inaugurated by Dr. B. A. Kumara Hegde, Associate Professor &HOD of Botany, SDM College, Ujire. He emphasized on importance of healthy environment and role of students in protection of the environment for the sustainable future. Dr. Vishwanatha P, Associate Professor, Dean PG Studies &HOD PG Department of Chemistry has made presidential remark on the program. Organizing such programs not only creates awareness among students about environment issues but also enhances related skills of a student and adds to overall development, he said. Ms. RakshithaHasbi of II M.Sc. Chemistry welcomed the gathering and Ms. Sukrutha of II M.Sc. Organic Chemistry proposed vote of thanks. Ms. S N Anusha Jain of I M.Sc. Chemistry mastered the ceremony. Office bearers of CONCHEMmanaged events named; CHROM ALPANA (Rangoli), TRASH TO ART (Best out of waste) and DRAMATICA (Skit), of “AVANI-2k22” Six teams from different PG departments have participated. At the end prizes were distributed for the winners. Winner’s trophy was bagged by team M.Sc. Physics and Runners up trophy was won by team MSW team.
