The Department of PG Studies and Research in Social Work organized a Two-Day National Level Conference, SAMBHRAMA – 2026, on the theme “Digitalization and Sustainable Development” on 25th and 26th February 2026 at SDM PG Centre.
The conference was inaugurated by Mr. Prakash Shetty, Panchayat Development Officer of Ujire Gram Panchayat, who emphasized the importance of upholding constitutional rights and duties. The Chief Guest, Prof. Sudheer Raj K, Director, Indian Knowledge Systems Centre, Nitte Mahaa University, highlighted that sustainable development is essential for protecting the environment, culture, economy, and society. The programme was presided over by Prof. Vishwanath P, Principal of the college. Dr. Soumya B. P, Dean, and Dr. Ravishankar K.R., Head of the Department of Social Work, were also present.
On the occasion, the ‘MSW – 25’ logo was unveiled, marking the 25th anniversary of the postgraduate programme in Social Work. Various competitions and activities under Sambhrama – 2026 were inaugurated.
The conference was convened by Dr. Dhaneshwari and Dr. Athul S. Semitha, with student coordinators Mr. Deekshith Jain, Ms. Jishmitha, and Ms. Anusha (II MSW).
Over 300 participants, including students, faculty members, and research scholars from various institutions, attended the conference, making it a meaningful and successful academic event.
