“Look at the surroundings for planning the projects. And the Projects developed should reach out to the people around”, said Amaresh Hebbar, Lecturer, Department of Electronics and Communication, SDM Polytechnic, Ujire. He was addressing the students after inaugurating the activities of the SPECTRA association of the Department of Physics, SDM College here on 23 August.
The projects developed or designed should be useful and the Patents should be obtained. Activities under departmental associations add value to the students by enhancing soft skills like communication skills, leadership qualities, crisis management, etc. Associations like SPECTRA are the stages for the students to be involved and evolve in various activities, he added.
He also launched the SPECTRA logo, and e-magazine and inaugurated the wall magazine of the department in the programme. rof S N Kakathkar, HoD of the Department presided over the programme and congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Association.
“As visible SPECTRA consists of different colors, the association gives a chance of participating in different activities”, he added and suggested organizing different innovative activities.
Chittesab, the new president of the association presented the plan of activities for the year 2023-2024.
