Failure to do so could lead to the profession’s decline," said Vishweshwar Bhat, Editor of Vishwavani, during the alumni meet ‘Sneha Samvahana’ organized by the Journalism and Mass Communication Department of SDM College, Ujire. The event took place at ‘Kshemavana’ Wellness Center, Nelamangala.
Dr. Niranjan Vanalli, Vice-Chancellor of Bengaluru North University, emphasized that Ujire offers ample opportunities for those passionate about writing, but one must be observant to seize them. Dr. Narendra Shetty, Chief Wellness Officer of Kshemavana, was also present at the event. Dr. Bhaskar Hegde, Head of the Journalism Department at SDM College, welcomed the gathering and reflected on his experiences at the institution. During the event, Shraddha Amit was honored for receiving the National Health Award from AYUSH TV for her contributions to promoting naturopathy. The alumni also released a special edition of the journal Kshem Samvahana and a new issue of Chiguru, a practical journal by journalism students.
