Inaugural Ceremony of Annual Activities 2026–27 and Workshop

The Rovers and Rangers Unit of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College (Autonomous), Ujire, successfully organized the Inaugural Ceremony of Annual Activities 2026–27, followed by a workshop titled “Empowering Leaders: A Workshop on Teamwork and Communication” on 28 July 2026.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the unveiling of the Rovers and Rangers Wall Magazine by the dignitaries. The Office Bearers for the academic year 2026–27 were officially announced and took the oath of office, administered by the President of the programme.

The programme was presided over by Prof. Vishwanatha P., Principal, who, in his presidential address, encouraged students to actively participate in Rovers and Rangers activities and develop leadership qualities through community service. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Preethi Shettigar, Life Skills Trainer and Ranger Leader, Swastika National Business School, Mangaluru, emphasized the importance of leadership, teamwork, effective communication, and the spirit of service. She inspired the students to cultivate these essential qualities to become responsible citizens and effective leaders.

The second session featured the workshop on “Empowering Leaders: A Workshop on Teamwork and Communication.” Through interactive activities, group discussions, practical exercises, and team-building sessions, the resource person trained the participants in leadership, communication, trust-building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The workshop concluded with an engaging interactive session, during which students enthusiastically participated and clarified their queries.

The programme was compered by Ms. Athmi (Ranger). The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Deeksha Kotyan, and the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Rover Pushparaj.

A total of 70 Rovers and Rangers actively participated and benefited from the programme. The event was coordinated by Ranger Leader Dr. Ganavi D., Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, and Rover Scout Leader Mr. Prasad Kumar.

The programme marked the successful commencement of the Rovers and Rangers Unit’s Annual Activities for the academic year 2026–27, inspiring students to uphold the ideals of leadership, discipline, teamwork, and selfless service to society.
