Ideal bits – Student association

I‘Ideal Bits’ is a student association of the B.Voc in Software and Application Development Department, inaugurated on 05 February 2022 by Mr. Shashi Kumar IPS, District Commissioner, Mangaluru City Police

The association is managed by the students of the department, led by office bearers selected on a merit basis under the guidance of the faculty. Through Ideal Bits, students organize a variety of technical events, workshops, coding competitions, and interactive sessions throughout the year. The activities primarily focus on areas such as software development, web technologies, app design, and innovation, while also exploring allied fields in computing and digital applications.

Activites :

  • In the B.Voc Software and Application Development program, the student association Ideal Beats organized its first event, Verba Quest – The Quiz and Debate Competition, on August 1st, 2025
  • The Department of B.Voc in Software and Application Development, under the student association Ideal Bits, organized a Full Stack Web Development Workshop from 6th to 11th September 2025 at the SDM PG Centre. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Deepak P and Mr. Ajay A V from Merav Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
  • International webinar on “Look beyond the Normal:Ace the technical beat” on 29 th May 2021 on Web-Ex platform by Mr.Sandesh B Suvarna
  • On 29 February 2020 a skill development to improve communication skills with healthy environment activity was held at the SDM PG Center seminar hall By Mr. Shankar Asst.professor Vani PU college Belthangady
  • An Employ-ability development activity on Android application development using ionic framework was conducted from 27 January 2021 to 05 February 2021 by Mr.Sunil at the Softionik Company in Mangalore
  • A virtual Internship with Accerlab on andriod Application development  Using Ionic Framework ran from 01 June 2021 to 31 August 2021 featuring Mr.Vaishak Shetty software developer Accer lab Technologies Pvt ltd
  • An Employ-ability development  Workshop on HTML,CSS ,BOOTSTRAP ,JAVA SCRIPT and GIT HUB was conducted  by Mr. Vaishak ,Accer lab from 29 January 2021 to 05 February 2021.
