The Women’s Development Cell of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (Autonomous) College, Ujire, in association with the Women Grievance Redressal Cell and the Internal Complaints Committee, organized a guest lecture on “Health Management through Naturopathy and Yoga” on August 5.
Dr. Samruddhi Ariga, Assistant Professor, SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire, was the resource person. In her address, she stressed that discipline is the key to maintaining good health. Regular practice of meditation and yoga helps in reducing mental stress, she noted.
She also advised students to follow healthy lifestyle practices such as going to bed early, consuming food in moderation, and avoiding outside food as much as possible.
Earlier, Dr. Deepa R.P., Chairperson of the Women’s Grievance Redressal Cell and Internal Complaints Committee, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Akshatha Jain, Coordinator of the Women’s Development Cell, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Ms. Sphoorthi, a third-year BCA student.
