Felicitates and Bids Farewell to Cleaning Staff

Ujire, December 30, 2023 – Gulabi, who retired from her position as a cleaning staff at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha College after serving for 21 years, was felicitated and bid farewell on December 30 at the college.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of the college, said that the hard work of the cleaning staff in maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the college is commendable.

“Gulab’s long years of dedicated service and simple living are exemplary. The college will always wish her well,” he said.

Dr. Vishwanath P., Dean of the Post-Graduate Studies Centre, said, “Gulab’s service to the institution with dedication as a cleaning soldier is truly commendable. May her retired life be happy.”

Vice-Principal Prof. S.N. Kakatkar and Register of evaluation Nanda Kumari also spoke and wished the honoree well.

Speaking after receiving the felicitation, Gulabi said, “S.D.M. College provided me with a permanent job, which helped me to support my family. I am proud to have served for a long time in this renowned educational institution.”

The college’s faculty and non-teaching staff presented an inverter to Gulabi as a gift.

Dean of the Arts Faculty Dr. Sridhar Bhat, Dean of the Commerce Faculty Shakunthala, Head of the Accounting Department Divakar Patwardhan, Head of the Administration Department Rajappa K.S., and faculty and non-teaching staff were present.
