Mr. Venu, III BA and Roshan V Billava, III BSc, won II Prize with ten thousand cash prize in the inter Collegiate Quiz Competition held at SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru on 14th September 2025. The competition was organised by Rotary club of Mangaluru and Rotract Club of SDM PG Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru.
Students from PG College participated and won the Championship at AAKAR 2025, held on 20/05/2025 to 21/05/2025 A state Level Techno Cultural Fest at AJ Institute of Engineering and Technology.
On 01-04-2025 Tuesday, Govindadas College, Surathkal and AgariSamsmaranaVedike, Surathkal hosted the grand Yakshagana Competition, “Yakshayana-2025” in GovindadasCollege,Surathkal Mangalore. It was an Inter-Collegiate Yakshagana Competition, were more than 10 Teams had participated inlucding our SDM College, Ujire.
Our team was awarded with FIRST PRIZE for our “Sudhanva Moksha” prasanga and in individual category, Mr. Subrahmanya Bhat grabbed First Prize in PagadiVesha, Ms. Sakshi grabbed First Prize in StreeVesha Category, Mr. Sourav Shetty grabbed Second prize in KireetaVesha Category and Mr. AmoghaShankara was awarded with First prize in Hasya Category.
Mr. Girish Rai Kakkepadavu Sir was our Bhagavataru, Mr.AnandaGudigar Sir and Mr. Aditya Holla were in Chende and Maddale. Our Guru Mr. Arun Kumar Dharmastala and Mr. Shreyas Palande, Ass.Proffesor, Dept of Sanskrit, were present to boost our energy.
The Students of SDM College Ujire marked a significant achievement by participating in the prestigious ABHINAYA 2K25, a National Level Drama Competition organized by Jain University, Bangalore, on 20th February 2025. This event brought together teams from across India to showcase their theatrical skills, and SDM College Ujire made a strong mark in the competition.
The SDM College team was recognized for its exceptional performance and won a total of 6 individual awards across different categories. The team also bagged the Prestigious Best Drama Award for their outstanding performance of the script Bheeshmasthamana. The drama was directed by Yashwanth NinasamBelthangady, and the script was created by Skanda Bargava.

Students of SDM Theater training centre, SDM College Ujire, participated in the one act play and won the second prize in university level drama competition held on 26/12/2023 at St.Mary’s College Shirva. The play was directed by Mr. Yashwanth Belthangady. Mr.Praveena D Staff in charge of Drama, accompanied the students to the competition.
12 Students of YakshaganaKalakendra had participated in Inter Collegiate TenkuTittuYakshagana Competition ‘YAKSHAYANA-2023’ held in Govinda Dasa College, Surathkalon 10thApril 2023. Students performed the YakshaganaPrasanga- “SudarshanaGarvabhanga”. Our team trained by Mr. Arun Kumar Dharmastala managed to secure Third Place in the competition.
10 Students of YakshaganaKalakendra had participated in Inter Collegiate TenkuTittuYakshagana Competition ‘YAKSHOTHSAVA-2023’ held in SDM Law College Mangalore on 11th March 2023. Students performed the YakshaganaPrasanga- “SudarshanaGarvabhanga”. Our team trained by Mr. Arun Kumar Dharmastala managed to secure Third Place in the competition. Mr. Subrahmanya Bhat managed to secure Runner up award in Individual Categories.
