The Department of Retail and Supply Chain Management organized a one-day industrial visit to Master Plannery Rural Development Project, SRK Ladders, Ashok Industries, and Cocoguru Coconut Industries Private Limited, Puttur, on 23 February 2026 for the II Year students to provide comprehensive exposure to diverse manufacturing and supply chain practices. The visit enabled students to understand cement product manufacturing processes and distribution systems in the construction sector, ladder manufacturing techniques along with quality assurance and production planning practices, industrial production systems with operational management and safety measures, and coconut processing techniques including value addition, packaging, and marketing strategies for agro-based products. Through this integrated exposure, students gained practical insights into production workflows, quality control mechanisms, industrial safety standards, inventory handling, and efficient distribution practices followed across different industries, thereby bridging classroom learning with real-time industry operations and strengthening their understanding of retail and supply chain management concepts. A total of 36 students participated in the visit, which was coordinated and accompanied by Mr. Praveena D and Ms. Madhuri Gowda.
