Building a Strong India Through Kuvempu’s Vision: Dr. Ravishankar G.K.

Reading and reflecting on the works of Kuvempu can offer solutions to the challenges of the modern age, said Dr. Ravishankar G.K., Assistant Professor, Department of Kannada, SDM Autonomous College, Ujire. He was speaking as the resource person at a special lecture series titled “Kuvempu Literature for the New Generation,” organised jointly by the Department of Kannada, SDM College, Ujire, and the Rashtrakavi Kuvempu Pratishthana, Kuppalli, at Government First Grade College, Bettampady, Puttur taluk.
Dr. Ravishankar emphasized that today’s youth, engrossed in social media, are drifting away from the joy of reading and reflective thinking. He noted that Kuvempu’s ideals of Manujamata, Vishvapathe, Sarvodaya, and Poornadrishti can guide society toward intellectual and moral strength, essential for building a strong India.
Programme coordinator Dr. Rajashekar Halemane highlighted that the lecture series aims to bring Kuvempu’s thoughts closer to the younger generation. Principal Prof. Damodara Kanajalu, who presided over the event, remarked that Kuvempu’s message of universal humanism remains timeless and relevant.
Dr. Subrahmanya K. welcomed the gathering, librarian Ram K. proposed the vote of thanks, and lecturer Padmaja compered the programme.
