The NSS units of the college in association with Women Development Cell and Women Grievance Redressal Cell organized a program on Distribution of Cloth Bags, Awareness Program on Corona Virus Disease and Anemia Free Campus on account of Women’s Day 2020.
The Principal Dr. Satheeshchandra S presided over the function released and distributed cloth bags to the Student Representatives and addressed the students about the need for using cloth bags to discourage the single-use plastic. The chief guest and resource person of the program was Dr. Pawan Kumar, MD, General Physician, SDM Hospital, Ujire enlightened the gathering about the Kovid-19 and informed the students about the symptoms and precautions one needs to take about coronavirus. Dr. Geetha, SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire as a resource person delivered a talk on Anemia Free Campus and advised the girl students to develop a healthy lifestyle for avoiding anemia related issues.
The program was attended by 200 students from NSS and members of women development cell.
