Department of B.Voc in Digital Media and Film Making organized a 4-day workshop on Advanced Photoshop from 27 October to 30 October 2021. Shashikanth Shetty, web developer and Founder of Heavens of Karnataka and Sabweb Creatives from Udupi trained 40 students in the various facets of Adobe Photoshop software.
Mr. Suveer Jain, Course Coordinator of SDM B.Voc initiated the workshop with his best wishes at an informal inaugural session. 40 students from different course backgrounds attended the sessions on all four days where various aspects of designing including technical tools, poster designing, text incorporation, colouring, news editing and others were covered.
On the final day of the workshop, i.e. 30 October 2021, a Photoshop design contest was held where students were given three different parameters they would be evaluated upon. Krishna Prashant V, Production In-charge of SDM Multimedia Studio-2 evaluated all the contest entries. Chinmay from III year B.Voc was awarded the ‘Most Creative Design’ award, Shailesh from I B.Voc bagged the ‘Technical Expertise’ award and Ashray from I B.Voc bagged the prize for the overall best poster.
Dr. Bhaskar Hegde, HOD of Department of B.Voc in Digital Media and Film Making congratulated all students for the successful completion of the workshop and handed the prizes to the winners, and certificates to all attendees. Dr. Padmanabha NK, Assistant Professor from Department of Journalism was present. The event was organized by Madhava Holla and Ashwini Jain from the department of B.Voc in Digital Media and Film Making.
