The Kannada department of SDM College Ujire has initiated a webinar series regarding the ancient literature in Kannada, in order to keep the current generation well aware of the subject.
The series was inaugurated by Kannada scholar Hampa Nagarajayya on 14th of June 2020, who delivered a discourse on Mahakavi Pampa.
On 20 August 2020, former Chancellor Dr. Vivek Rai spoke on the materialistic elements in Pampa Bhaarata. He elaborated on how effectively Pampa has portrayed the material realities of his time in his work.
The Registrar of the college, Dr. BP Sampath Kumar coordinated the webinar. Over 200 literary enthusiasts took part in the webinar.
