“The SDM atmosphere, the support of colleagues, the guidance of the elders is the true spirit behind my actions,”said,Dr. Satheeshchandra S., Principal, SDM College, Ujire. He was speaking to the faculty members in a farewell programme arranged to him by SDM Staff association on 31 December 2021, on the occasion of his superannuation from 36 years of able service. I know this institution very closely and I consider SDM as my guru, as I have learnt a lot many things and gained a bunch of experiences from the days as a student in this institution to the days I worked as a lecturer, Head of the Department and Principal. The reason behind my recognition in the society is SDM College and today I am in the vortex of mixed feeling with pride and sadness, he added. In his felicitation address he congratulated the new Principal, Dr. Udayachandra P. N., wished him good luck and said, Dr. Udayachandra is an able, active, adventurous leader, who will have better plans for the development of the College.
It is coincidental to enter into the career as colleagues being friends, but it is great to remain in a same friendship without any professional jealous, and Dr. Satheeshchandra is an example of that kind of friendship. Now that he has handed over huge responsibilities to my shoulder, I consider his long-term working manner as guidance for my future days, said Dr. Udayachandra, Principal while addressing Dr. Satheeshchandra.
Sri. S. N. Kakathkarsaid Dr. Satheeshchandra is a capable person who has handled all responsibilities in a perfect way and his guidance will always be there for the institution even after his retirement from the service.
The new Executive Officer of SDM Institution, Sri. M. Y. Harish wished Dr. Satheeshchandra good luck and congratulated the new Principal, Dr. Udayachandra P. N.
