The National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College recently participated in a paddy transplantation program at Kakkarabettu in Kiriyadi.
Under the guidance of the field owner, Deekayya Poojari, a team of 35 volunteers successfully completed paddy transplantation on one acre of land, gaining valuable agricultural experience.
The elders of the village shared insights about the importance of agricultural knowledge in the modern era with the younger generation. Present at the event were the college’s NSS coordinators, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Shetty H. and Mrs Deepa R.P., Shruti from the Social Responsibility Initiative Committee, and Assistant Chemistry Professor Parameshwar.
