An Appeal
The Department of English proposes to publish a book entitled “Memories of Covid-19” comprising of the narratives on the unspoken and unprecedented damages the Pandemic has caused on life. The Department with a real fidelity to real life honestly appeals the SDMITES to give a verbal expression to all that they have experienced and felt and send the same to the following address for showcasing the same in a book. The honourable Secretary of SDME Society(R) Dr B Yashovarma has consented to this proposal. The writers are expected to read the following guidelines: The narratives can be on any topic, it could be entirely on a personal experience, an event, a rare individual, the memorable moments, the pains and sorrows, the haplessness and the funny decisions and acts, isolation and distancing, horror, confusions, crushed desires and aspirations, uncertainties and anxieties, agonies and so on The Department shall form a committee to scrutinise the narratives and give recommendations regarding the language and content of the write ups** The Department proposes to honour the best narratives in appropriate platform The last date to send the articulated narratives is 30th September 2020 The narratives can range from 4 to 10 pages in typed format :
