Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde Stresses the Importance of Public-Oriented Experimentation in Competitive Media

 "In today’s competitive media landscape, news organizations must maintain credibility while focusing on public-oriented values and experimentation," said Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of SDM College, Ujire. He shared his views while inaugurating a workshop on Opportunities in Rural Journalism organized by the SDM College Postgraduate Centre in collaboration with Suddhi Bidugade newspaper and the Department of Journalism. The workshop addressed key issues such as opportunities in rural journalism, challenges faced by rural reporters, developmental journalism, and the balance between positive and negative reporting. Students and media professionals participated in a lively discussion on these topics.
