EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

 

  • Application for Examinations:

    • The cycle of examination may be said to commence with the issue of Notification and receipt of applications for examinations.

    Examination Fees:

    • Candidates appearing for an examination for the first time have to pay the full fees prescribed for the whole examination. There is no provision for the candidates to appear only for a Part/Subject of an Examination in his first appearance. It shall be carefully checked whether the prescribed fee for the Examination including the fee for supplying the Marks Card has been paid by the candidates.
    • The rates of examination fee for various Examinations and for different Parts/Divisions/Papers will be as fixed by the college from time to time and duly notified. The rates for Examination fee, Marks Card fee, and Application Form Fee shall be in the respective notifications.
    • Candidates for Examinations whether fresher or repeater shall pay the examination fees in the College Administrative Office.
    • Cheques, Drafts, Money orders or Postal orders shall not be accepted.
    • In the event or delay in the announcement or result revaluation, or TAL cases if any, such candidates also pay the fee and submit the application in time along with other candidates. Under no circumstances, their late payment of fees or late submission of application will be accepted.
    • In the event of ‘Pass’ in revaluation, or an announcement of TAL cases the fees paid for the Examination will be refunded. The application for refund (application forms available in the college) has to send through the college. In no other circumstances Examination fee once paid/collected will be refunded or adjusted against & future examination.

    Rejection of Result:

    • The candidates can reject their results of the whole Examination at single appearance within 10days from date of announcement of results or 10 days from the dates of issue of marks cards by the Registrar (Evaluation) whichever is later, and such applications shall forwarded tot eh with specific recommendations of the Principal. There is no provision to reject the results subject-wise of paper-wise. Which forwarding the applications it has to be verified whether the candidate is exercising this option for the first as there is no provision to reject the results of any examination more than once.
    • The original marks card has to be surrendered along with the application.
    • A fee prescribed by the college from time to time has to be collected for each case of rejection. The receipt for having paid the fees has to be enclosed with the application. (There is prescribed form of application which can be obtained the College.)
    • After having received the permission of the college for the rejection of results the same may be record in the Marks Register maintained in the College.

    Attendance requirements

    • The attendance requirement of the Courses is specified in the regulations governing each course.
    • In calculating the No. of periods the actual number of periods held in a subject including t          he practical as the case may be, shall be taken into consideration. The calculation shall be made from the date of commencement of the course.
    • If the candidate is short of attendance in any one particular subject, he shall be not be allowed to take the whole examination irrespective of his/her having attendance other subjects parts.
    • As application for Examinations are called long before close of academic year, it may not be possible to calculate the attendance of the candidates at the time of receipt of applications.
    • The names of candidates whose attendance falls short of the prescribed minimum, shall be notified on the Notice Board and the statement showing the names of such candidates shall be sent to the Registrar (Evaluation)at least seven days before the date of commencement of the concerned Examination. Such candidates shall not be issued the Admission Tickets even though the names had been included in the candidates List.
    • Payment of fee does not automatically entitle the candidate to appear for the examination unless the candidate submits the application within the last date prescribed and also the other conditions such as attendance, satisfactory conduct etc., are fulfilled.
    • Those who run short of attendance will have to repeat their course as per respective regulations and could appear subsequently on fulfilling the requirement.

    Rules for the grant of extra tome to the Physically Handicapped:

    • The nature of handicap must be such that it seriously affects the candidate’s speed of writing.
    • The candidate must produce a certificate, at his cost, issued by the District Medical Board, officers
    • The candidate shall give the details in the space provided for in the application.
